Dang: Hyrule Warriors Scarf Edition is a Nintendo World Exclusive

Technically it’s the “Limited Edition” but I think my name is far more apt. Sadly, those of us stateside won’t be able to look fierce in our Zelda scarves unless we live in the NYC area.

I really wanted to grab the special edition, but it’s just not worth a plane ticket. Hyrule Warriors and Hyrule Warriors Limited Edition will be available September 26. [❤]

Aonuma Says Zelda Wii U Will Stand Out From Other Open World Games
We all know Zelda series producer Eiji Aonuma is planning to make Zelda Wii U the most ambitious title yet. In an interview with EDGE, Aonuma stated that the open world in Zelda Wii U won’t be something we’ve ever seen before.

“Since we’re talking about open worlds, let’s state upfront that we don’t plan to have an open world in the same way other companies have been doing in recent years. “

I don’t even know what he means by that. I don’t think it’s a slam on games like Skyrim, but I seriously can’t fathom what will set Zelda Wii U apart from others in the open world genre. Any guesses?

No, You’re Not Dreaming. That’s Link In Mario Kart 8

Finally, Nintendo has caved and given us what we truly wanted: Super Smash Kart. Along with a playable hero of Hyrule, here’s what you get from the DLC pack coming November 2014 and a second pack coming May 2015.

Each Add On Content pack will contain two new cups, each with four courses, which, in total, increases the number of available courses by 50 percent. The Add On Content packs include classics like Wario’s Gold Mine from Mario Kart Wii, as well as new courses, some taking place in the worlds of The Legend of Zelda and Animal Crossing. New vehicles will also arrive with each pack, including the Blue Falcon kart representing the F-Zero franchise in the first AOC pack.

Mario Kart 8 Pack 1 - Released: November 2014

Pack 1 includes:

  • 3 Characters: Tanooki Mario, Cat Peach, Link
  • 4 Vehicles
  • 8 Courses

Mario Kart 8 Pack 2 - Released: May 2015

Pack 2 includes:

  • 3 Characters: Villager, Isabelle, Dry Bowser
  • 4 Vehicles
  • 8 Courses

As a bonus for purchasing both packs - as a bundle or separately - you can get eight different-coloured Yoshis and eight different-coloured Shy Guys that can be used right away

Extra Stages and a playable Link has made this a must have. The pack will cost 7 euros (aprox $10 USD). Not a bad deal for three new characters and two new cups. Check out more info/preorder your pack here. [❤]
